LIFE OF A DEFENCE BRAT !

Adventurous, crazy, memorable, amazing , happening , lively that’s how life is experienced in defence. As soon as we start loving a place we are transferred to the another one which is quite heart breaking yet we take a bag full of memories that we cherish forever.

January ,2001  experienced massive destruction caused by earthquake in Bhuj , Gujarat . Being a three year old seeing people dying had affected me somewhere deep down in heart. Grew up and the next place was Vadodara which gave me memories of learning and speaking gujarati , doing Garba in school and eating those delicious dhoklas with the green chutney.

Pathankot, May 2006 , the place that experienced terrorist attack in 2016 made us all numb  . Hats off to the martyrs and all those soldiers who protected people over there. Makke di roti and sarso da saag is what I started loving after visiting this place. School tour to Amritsar let us explore Jallianwala bagh , Golden temple and  Wagah border all the three reminded us of our great freedom fighters and those people who fought for freedom of our country .

2010 , the year I can never forget because it took me to the heaven of India , Jammu and Kashmir , the valleys , the mountains , the rivers  and the wind had their own sound of silence  among people over there.  Explored many places like Tulip garden , Dal lake on which children play cricket when it gets frozen , Gulmarg , Shalimar garden . That overwhelming feeling when you experience snow fall for the first time can never be forgotten . And those journeys from camp to Jammu guarded by CRPF buses around you and escorts in the bus made us feel protected and safe by our soldiers .  Getting up in the middle of snow around you had its own mesmerizing feeling.

2012 , came to Bangalore ,Karnataka , the land of technology which let me experience the culture of South India and fell in love instantly with the cuisine over here .

Meeting people from different cultures , learning about them and interacting to them has made me feel so blessed. Have made me strong by experiencing the best and worst in this fauji life being a  brat . Being in defence life let me explore and experience how diverse yet beautiful our country is. Looking forward to more such explorations !
